CDAC April challenge submission 2

Hi Everyone

This is the second image that I will be entering into the CDAC April Challenge aimed at the men in our lives.

I just love dragons and there are quite a few around my home. This one is based on one of them as I love the way his wings are opening. Hope you all like what you see and I thought it would be a little different.

Big hugs to all

CDAC April Digital drawing Challenge

Hi Everyone

well not been a good month up to now. Really don't feel like doing much but have to forge ahead and get back into things, so I decided to do some drawing and to kill 2 birds with one stone aim it towards the CDAC April challenge.

This month at the CDAC the challenge is to draw something aimed for the men in our lives not easy as men tend to be the most difficult for most of us to cater for. Unless they have a specific hobby they tend to offered pretty much the same kind of card year after year. I'm quite lucky as my dad loves native American culture and movies. The old one which he grew up with are his favourite at the moment. Plus he loves the action stuff what man doesn't?

Anyway this is my first entry for this month. Almost last minute but like I said at the start had a lot to deal with so I think I can be forgive this once.

Hope you like and thank you for looking.

Big crafty hugs to you all

Priscillas Sun, Moon and Star

Hi Everyone

Well what can I say I just love this image by Priscilla as it really lended itself to making the triple easel card I have been wanting to try.

I kept it simple coloured the images using promarkers and the added drys clear glue and glitter for the sparkle. Framed each image using a spellbinders die that I purchased a couple of weeks ago from Create and craft tv here in England. (I was lucky as these sold out in less than a day.) I then mounted them onto black card that I had measured cut and scored to form a triple easel card.

This card has also been entered into the world of crafters 1st Birthday/Anniversary challenge. Thought I would kill 2 birds with one stone as the saying goes.

I don't think this image needs much as the simpleness of it kept it elegant and not in your face.

Thanks for looking and come back soon.

Another week means another fantastic digi stamp from Faith at Designed 2 delight. I just love this stamp it feels so retro.

Didn't realise we were on Thursday already, I swear someone has stolen a day from me and is playing a trick. I'm going to wake up in the morning and it will be Thursday won't it? NO! oh well I can only live in hope.

If you would like to join in the fun why not head over to Faiths Blog Delightful Inspiration and join in. If I'm not mistaken this weeks stamp will be free to all as it usually is on the first of the month. Play this week and recieve a free stamp again next week and the week after if you keep on playing. Every week we are all winners thanks to Faiths generousity.

CDAC - Digital Drawing Contest - spring theme Design 3

HI Everyone

Here is the digital stamp my youngest decided I should enter into the challenge. Not strictly spring but hey I can eat cupcake any time of the year I don't know about you!

In the words of Homer Simpson "MMMMmmmmmmm Cupakes! ARGGGGggg." LOL. As long as I have chocolate cake I am happy. If fact my daughters for the last couple of years have baked me a chocolate cake for easter instead of giving me an egg, much better.

Anyway hope you like the image and thank you for visiting.

CDAC - Digital Drawing Contest - spring theme Design 2

Hi Everyone

This is design number 2 for the CDAC drawing challenge. I have called it egg hunt as the eggs are hidden in the long grass waiting to be found by the little ones.

I have had some real fun drawing these images over the last couple of days. Even though I have tons already created and stored away on my computer I just couldn't resist drawing more.

I hope that you like my little Easter image and thank you so much for dropping by.

Big hugs to all and happy crafting

D2D Caught a bug

Hi Everyone

This weeks free image from Faith is a wonderful image of a jar with a bug inside. You also get a few extra bugs to play with and sentiments.I decided not to colour this image this week but paper piece the challenge. I created the jar by creating a gradient fill of some paper in PSP and then just printed the relevent pieces onto whatever coloured card I needed. Quite effect and very quick to put together. I haven't added a sentiment yet as I am not sure to whom this card will be going to.

Every week you play along you are a winner as you will receive a new image free of charge to play in the following weeks challenge. Can't get better than that. A challenge where everyone is a winner. If you haven't played along before and would like to start now why not go along to Faiths digi shop Designed 2 Delight and purchase this image there and start your collection of fabulous images all the for the low low price of the joy of making a card each week.

I made flowers for the card because as a child I rememebered sitting amongst the daisies and the ladybugs would be there. Ladybugs are about the only insect that I can stand to be near. I am a total girl when it comes to little buggies. Although I have finally got over my fear of spiders!!!! YAY.

Thanks for looking and drop in again soon hugs and happy crafting.

Heart with a fairy

Hi everyone

really going to try and keep up with my blog from now on. Things seem to be settleing down now so really no excuse.

Well I thought I would show you all what I made for the circle of crafters iris folding challenge this month. We had to use a heart with it being the month of love and an extra IF design also.

I decided to use the C.O.Cs own heart pattern designed by BobbiLynn but I added my own fairy design. I couldn't keep it simple could I? Oh no I had to place the fairy in front of the heart and mould both designs together.

Some might saY I don't like to make my life easy but I do, I would rather have an easy life than a difficult one but nthis design might tell you differently.

I hope that you like what you see I'm not to sure about the bow on this one but I can always change it later if it really greats on me. LOL

Hugs to you all and happy crafting.

Appliqued tree

Hi Everyone

Had real fun with this one. I received this free from Faith this week for playing along in her challenge last week. If you like the design you can purchase it here. I thought also seeing how the image is called Appliqued tree then it just had to be paper pieced together instead of coloured in. I created the backing papers myself most of which are available at craftsuprint in various colours and kit forms. The ones that are not listed yet will be doing so very soon.

Why not take a look at both website and see what great things are on offer. Plus if you play along this week with Faith and the design team you will receive a brand new stamp to play with and join in the fun all over again this week only this time it will be for free and you can't get better than that!!!

Thanks again for looking at my blogg.

Kaela in spring D2D challenge

Hi Everyone

Here is a card that I made using Faiths brilliant Kaela in Spring set. It is for this weeks challenge over on her Blog. I have left the card sentiment free as I am not sure who is going to get this yet. I have 2 people in mind for 2 different occasions and I know if I put one sentiment on it I will have wished I had put the other so until both cards are made it will remain sentiment free.

Why not take a look and see what it is all about. If you play along every week every Friday you will find a free gift from Faith in your email box. There are some really lovely designs avaiable.

Thanks for looking and hope everyone has a good time playing along with us all.

Skatin Penguin

Well everyone it's that time of the week again. Making up Faiths fantastic digi stamp last minute as always. Although this week it really was not my intention I had planned to be early but my stinking cold had other ideas. I'm only just starting to feel human again and composed enough to even think about crafting, WOW I must have been unwell.

Anyway this card is not what I had in mind when I printed out the stamp but I think it turned out OK for a last minute rush together. I only hope that Faith feels I have done it justice. If you like the image you can purchase it in Faiths online store Designed2delight.. So although you may have missed out on it as a freebie you can still have fun playing with it.

This card is called a corner easel card and the backing paper was a feebie from a magazine I got last year but never used the papers. The snowflakes are a cuttlebug die and the gems are from a nail file I purchased from the pound shop. Yes a nail file I'm not kidding. Well not this time anyway.

Thanks for taking a look and I hope to be back again very soon.

Angel 'Kaela'

Hi Everyone

Well it's last minute again just like me LOL. Every week I print out everything I need to make up Faiths fabulous designs the minute I get them and then life just seems to get in the way as it does. One of these days I will be organised! NO Never happen I'm affraid we can all wish.

Well this image is another of Faiths digi stamps from Designed2delight.com I must admit though I had to add a mouth as no mouth gives me kind of the wiggins. Although it would be nice if we could remove my teenage daughters from time to time.

I also wanted to colour it using a different technique so I printed the design on plain white card twice one for the base layer and one to colour in the face using promarkers, and I also printed it out on to a couple of backing papers that I made up and then paper pieced it all together. On the base layer (1 of the white printed images) I used a quickie glue pen on the wings, halo and stars and coloured in using glitter.

Over all I am really happy with how it tuned out. My final embelishment was making a poinsettia out of the matching paper and adding a sentiment. I also made the card a slightly unusual shape to add another dimention to the overall look.

Thanks for looking people and hope you like what you see.

Beautiful Blessings

Hi Everyone

It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month so I have decided to make a pink feeings book out of the beautiful image from Designed2Delight digital stamps. The image is called 'Beautiful Blessing' and was a gift for playing along in last weeks challenge. If you didn't play along last week, you can buy it here and join in the fun this week.

Breast Cancer awareness is a cause very close to my heart. I am one of the lucky ones. I only had to live with the fear of having breast cancer for a couple of weeks while all the test were being performed. My lump turned out to be just that. A lump, nothing life threatning but the fear it caused for those 2 weeks well I think you can guess. I had 2 small children and just seperated from my partner and my fear was what will happen to them if it is Cancer. I can not even imagine what I would have done if the tests had brought us a different result.

To those brave women and men who have to live with this terrible desease everyday and to all the families who have to be brave along with you I send out my thoughts and prayers and hope that all will be well in the end.

We can all hope, dream and beleive that one day this desease will be a thing of the past a bad memory in the history of man. Support Breast cancer awareness and donate what we can in hope that the doctors will find the cure and no one need suffer or live in fear again of not only breast cancer but other forms of cancer as well.

Hugs to all

I've been Spotlighted

Hi Everyone

wow I awoke this morning to a lovely surprise, Priscilla from CDAC (Crafters Digital Art Center) has spotlighted one of my cards that I created for the colour challenge over there.I feel really really honoured about this. It has really put a smile on my face.

This was a card I wanted to have a play with. In England we don't usually send cards for Halloween not yet anyway, but I loved the image so much I just had to have a play. Plus the little witch isn't a nasty one so no spiders or bugs for her I just couldn't do it. I did have some bat rings that came in a bag full of goodies from the pound shop. I decided to use those.

The card itself is just a simple easel card in the shape of an unside down triangle and matted and layered using some free backing paper that I got from a magazine ages ago. (I am on a drive to use up some of the freebies before I buy anything else and see what I can make with them.)
The rings from the goddie bags I had to chop of the ring part and add it to some acetate so they looked like they were just flying next to the card and not attached to it. Added glitter around the moon and around the matt of the image which I cut out using my nesties. Then really just had fun putting it all together and hoping that it all worked out.

Thankfully it did work out now have have this wonderful honour and a great start to a day I thought was going to be stressing. Now not letting anything get to me nope smile on my face now no matter what the day tries to throw at me.

Willow whimsy challenge

Hi everyone

I know it has been a while since I last put anything on here once again time has just got away from me. I really need days to be 48 hours long and then I might just about catch up on things lol. No who am I kidding I would still be behind but maybe not as far.

The challenge digi this week from Designed2Delight Digital Stamps is just gorgeous! I just couldn't stop myself from buying the whole set.

I just loved the whole concept of the full set and could not imagine making a card without putting all the elements together.

D2D weekly challenge "MEOW"

Hi Everyone

Well it is that time of the week again. Every week I say I am going to get this done early and every week I end up being last minute Annie. Mind you this week had loads to do in the normal life getting kids ready for school, meeting after meeting because my little one not well plus other added distractions which I can not go into all put paid to my endeavour to get this in early. Better late than never though right.

This really was a little cutie to make up I loved him. I must admit that this was my second attempt as my first did not go to plan and did end up in the bin. It was a good idea just didn't look right at all. Well you have to have a play every now and then and experiment LOL. I hope that you think he has turned out OK this time thanks for looking and happy crafting
